5-Minute Creator’s Journal
You’re not supposed to teach someone how to live their life—yet most creators do, find the ideas that are truly worth writing about.
All of these topics in my 5-minute journal.
Btw need to make it a weekly series, while other newsletters will remain part of my regular newsletter. I’m still deciding which day to publish it.
You’re not supposed to tell people how to live their lives.
Think about it—let’s say your content is being read by a 70-year-old or a 25-year-old, and you’re telling them, Do this, do that, just because you said so.
No.
But you can improve their lives and give them powerful advice—by helping them ask better questions, by making them reflect on their problems, and by bringing important issues to the forefront of their minds.
That’s why I love this quote so much:
“Take other people’s advice and put it through your own lens.”
Find Ideas That Are Worth Writing About
Not all ideas are worth your time—or your audience’s. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad, but it doesn’t mean you should write about them, speak on them, or act on them either.
But , I’m not suggesting you just sit around waiting for good ideas to come to you. You have to chase them, dig for them—whatever metaphor works for you.
Just get moving.
