Welcome to the next episode of 5CC!

I hope you’ll enjoy it—and with that, let’s dive right in.

1-Story

Every Easter, me and my whole family meet at Grandma’s house to celebrate. We’re Christians, so Easter is kind of a big deal.

But there’s always a catch—nothing is ever as it is suppose to be. Every visit to Grandma’s somehow turns into a little chaos: something goes wrong with X, or I’m not disciplined and consistent , or I get obsessed with some TV series.

This year, though, I hoped it would be different. I wanted to spend more time outside and with my dog.

Because every Easter, after all the snow and rain, the sun finally comes out. The flowers start blooming, the trees get their color back, and everything starts to feel warmer.

I had big expectations for myself, of course.

But…

  • I didn’t do what I needed to do.

  • I watched Cobra Kai for 3 to 5 hours.

  • I questioned all my decisions—and whether any of it still means anything.

So yeah, just a normal Saturday at Grandma’s house.

But the fact that this happens every year—right when I finally have time to enjoy the weather, run in the garden, work, write—was kind of killing me inside. So I put down my tablet and went for a walk.

As I walked, the sunset was beautiful. At one point, I just stopped and stared at the clouds.

And I had a real conversation with myself. About my dreams. About what I’m doing. About why this keeps happening again and again.

And I came to a simple conclusion:

All I need to do is be more consistent.

More disciplined.

Be more still.

Keep the promises I make to myself.

But also… chill out.

We’re all just figuring it out.

So I went back home and journaled a little. I didn’t touch any series until we left Grandma’s—a small break from them, just to reset.

I did the work.

Went for a run.

Read my books.

And in that moment, I honestly couldn’t have felt better.

1 - Question

“If money weren’t a problem, what would you do for a living?”

2 - Ideas :

1. If You’re Not Using Storytelling in Your Content, You’re Missing Out

If there’s one universal hack for every business and every content creator, it’s storytelling.

Everything is a story—your life is a story.

Every one of your favorite creators is telling stories.

Even Steve Jobs once said: “The most powerful person in the world is the storyteller.”

I know I might sound a little guru style, but it’s more than true. If you want to dive deeper into this topic, hit reply to this email.

That will be my sign to create more content on storytelling.

2. The Most Underrated Skill: Communication

“Yeah yeah, Kate, it’s those skills again…”

But hear me out—think of it this way:

You’re communicating every single day. With your fans, your friends, your family, your coworkers. You will be dealing with people your whole life. And the skill that makes that smoother, clearer, and more powerful? It’s communication.

It’s knowing how to say what you want and actually get it.

And those super-charismatic people you admire? The ones who seem like they were born to speak and connect?

They weren’t born that way.

They learned it.

They practiced.

And so can you.

“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” — George Bernard Shaw

When I stop trying to "write content" and start trying to clarify my thoughts instead, the right people find their way to my content. - Dan Koe
