Art of letting go
Letting go is the one thing you need to make progress
This philosophy is even called “detachment” or “letting go,” not trying so hard.
And it sounds crazy, like a paradox, doesn’t it? Especially in today’s world,
where the message is: if you want more, do more. If you don’t have it, try harder, better, and more.
But stop slow dontw a little and give me less than 10 minutes,
and I will tell you why letting go and detachment is the one thing you need in your business or life.
Just to be clear, this isn’t a new topic. This philosophy, the art of letting go, existed hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Its founder is thought to have been Lao Tzu.
This “art of letting go” is based on the idea that if you try too hard or push too much,
Because if you try too hard then (as confirmed by Lao Tzu himself) you will achieve the opposite of what you want.
He said something like this in one of his quotes:
“Those who rush ahead won’t get very far.
Those who try to outshine others dim their own light.”
The idea is that we need to learn to let go, not do everything all at once, or too quickly,
because that can bring more pain than reward.
They even had a concept called “Wu Wei” – effortless effort or not doing.
They were in control of themselves , balanced.
But why should we care about this? And how can this “not doing” help us achieve our dreams?
Especially in today’s world,
The thing is
we must learn to do less, but do it better.
Think of it like your closet. It’s filled with stuff,
like all the actions in your daily life. But you know you’d never wear all those clothes. There’s too much,
It’s useless.
And yet, you refuse to clean it out.
You refuse to slow down, at least for a moment, and go with the flow.
You’re trying so hard that you might fall down and never get back up.
Solution:
Do the important stuff better,
cut out the non-essential, and let yourself just be for a while.
Your success is like a tree. You can water it, give it nutrients, soil, and sunlight,
but if you do too much you will harm the tree.
You cannot force it to grow faster; it will grow at its own pace.
And that’s how it should be.
I hope this helps. Thanks for reading. Peace.
